Rich Mullins Awesome God

Today is the 15th anniversary of the home going of Rich Mullins....There have been two people whose music has been a major influence on my life...Keith Green and Rich Mullins....and I think that the song that Rich did that is the best description of who the Lord is was written on his third album "Winds of Heaven, Stuff of Earth" entitled "Awesome God" and for me the reason that it spoke to me is the fact that it lyrically gave a balanced view of who God is.....not the God that comes down hard on us, or the God that is like a grandfather type....but in the middle....the God that loved enough to give His Son on the cross, but also knows when to judge and say "That's enough!"...If we were to teach this balanced view of God, I think that we would be a whole lot better off and not have to worry about the extreme views of either side.....
